Seven of Wands

Seven of Wands

Suit of Wands

High ground. Hold it.

The Seven of Wands is the defender's card. A figure on high ground holds off six wands rising from below: outnumbered, not outmatched. The Seven is the moment you have to stand for what you've built.

Upright

Drawing this card often signals a challenge to something you care about. Boundary, position, belief. The Seven asks you to hold the ground.

Reversed

Reversed, the Seven of Wands is exhaustion in the fight, or fighting battles that aren't yours to fight. The card asks what you're actually defending and whether it still needs your defense.

It can also indicate giving up the ground prematurely. The Seven reversed says: one more day on the wall.
