four of swords
Lying down with the swords on the wall. Rest card, love. Actual rest, not scrolling.
Upright Four of Swords
The Four of Swords is the rest card. A figure lies in still repose, a sword above and three beside, not dead, just deeply at rest. The Four is the recovery that has to happen after a hard stretch.
Drawing this card often signals you need a pause. The mind has been working too long. The Four asks you to put it down, just for now.
Put it down, just for now.
Reversed Four of Swords
Reversed, the Four of Swords is rest avoided, or rest that's overstayed. Either you've been pushing through fatigue that needed honoring, or the rest has become a way to avoid re-engaging.
It can also indicate restless sleep, a mind that won't shut off. The Four reversed asks what unfinished thought is keeping you awake.
